The short version

You can search, browse and compare without an account. We never ask for your name, email or phone number to show you a car, and we don't sell personal information.

Anonymous analytics

To learn which pages and listings help shoppers, we record usage events: pages viewed, searches and filters, which listings were shown, and clicks through to dealer websites. Search words you type are recorded with these events.

Events are tied to random identifiers kept in first-party cookies: adh_vid (about a year), adh_sid (a 30-minute session) and adh_src (where your first visit came from, such as a search engine or a campaign tag). We also keep your device type and the approximate country, region and city our network provider derives from your connection. We never store your IP address.

When you visit a dealer

View at dealer goes through a short redirect that records the click, then opens the dealer's own listing with a tag showing the visit came from AutoDealersHub. From there you are on the dealer's website, which has its own privacy policy. Browsing alone never tells a dealer who you are: the only way we share your identity is if you send a dealer a message yourself.

When you message a dealer

If you use Check availability on a vehicle page, the name, email address, message and (if you choose to give one) phone number you type are sent to that dealer so they can reply, along with the vehicle you asked about and a note that you found it on AutoDealersHub. By sending, you agree that the dealer and AutoDealersHub may contact you about that vehicle by email, phone or text, including automated messages.

We keep a copy of the message so we can send it again if the dealer's mail server is unavailable, and so we can show dealers how their listings are performing. We don't pass it to any other dealer and we don't sell it. Email us to have your message deleted. We keep the name, contact details and message you typed for 180 days and then remove them from our copy, keeping only the vehicle and the date.

Car alerts

If you ask for price-drop alerts, we keep your email address and the list of cars you asked us to watch, until you unsubscribe. We use them only to send you those alerts, we never give the address to a dealer, and every alert email has a one-click unsubscribe link that clears the list.

Compare list and AI features

Cars you add to compare are saved only in your own browser. When you use Ask AI or the AI search box, your question is sent to our AI provider to interpret it; we keep usage and cost records for those requests, not who asked.

Google Analytics

We also use Google Analytics to measure site traffic. Google sets its own cookies for this; you can opt out with Google's browser add-on or your browser's privacy settings.

The price-check tool

Price-check reports draw on live dealer listings and real sale records nationwide, aggregated into statistics before they are shown. Reports never include a VIN, stock number, dealer name, owner, address, city, state, ZIP, photo or listing link, and individual sale prices are never shown.

Nothing is required to run a report. If you add your dealership to the full-lot list, we store the email address and website you enter. When you decode a VIN we send it to the free NHTSA decoder and do not connect it to you.
